Hey {{ first name | reader }},

I was going back through my introduction calls from this year, and 1 thing really stood out to me.

Every single woman who ended up working with me could tell me the EXACT moment she decided she was done with her current role and company.

Here are some of them:

→ She came back from maternity leave after being a top performer for 2 years and was told "we can only promote you if you move to London" 🙃
→ She grew her company's revenue by 120%, asked about increasing her commission, and was told a big fat NO".
→ She had a family emergency, and her employer rejected both her WFAC and extended leave requests.
→ She’s been doing more senior work for the past 1,5 years and still doesn’t have the title or the salary to match it (I'm sorry, WHAT)

Every one of these women had been unhappy for months before that moment, sometimes years, telling herself it was fine, it's a tough market, it'll be better after the reorg, after the new manager, after Q4, and then suddenly something clicked, and they thought “I need to bet on myself”.

If this is you, there’s a clear reason why I'm writing to you about this in August and not in November.

September is coming up, and it is the single best hiring window of the entire year. Hiring budgets need to be spent before the end of the year, so more roles will be opening up in just a few weeks. Hiring Managers want people in seats in the new year, so we’re looking at a busy hiring time until Christmas, and then it’s very quiet until February.

The catch is that the women who land their roles in November/December started in September and had their positioning, CV, and LinkedIn profile strategically revamped before these roles went live. They’ve already been talking to Hiring Managers at their target companies, and their interview stories were ready to go. So when the right role opened up, they were in the process within a few days, instead of burning through amazing opportunities because they weren’t ready.

I’m opening up my last cohort of the Tech Career Catalyst this year. We start on 14 September with 8 women only. You get 2 private sessions with me, one of them before we even start, so you know your story and know exactly what steps to take when the program kicks off.

If you've had your moment where something ‘clicked’ already, or you can feel one coming, let's talk about it together.

And if you'd rather write it down before booking a call, reply to this email, and I’ll talk you through it.

Talk soon,

Jen 💜
